Women's Slalom Selection to Be Held on 22 July
The Women's Commission (TOSK), formed within TOSFED to help women play a more active role in every area of motorsport in Turkey, has invited all women to get to know motorsport through its first project, "First Encounter with Rally".
As part of the project, four women drivers will be selected to drive the course car at Rally Bosphorus, a round of the European Rally Cup, which will be held in Istanbul on 24-26 July 2015. A total of 38 women candidates aged 20-30, who have never competed before, have held a driving licence for at least two years and are motorsport enthusiasts, will show what they can do at the slalom selection to be held on Wednesday 22 July.
From the 10 candidates who set the best times at the selection, four will be chosen following interviews. After a two-day training programme, they will take the wheel of the course car at Rally Bosphorus and take their first step into motorsport.
