Rally Excitement in Lefke

The 2018 Şeker Sigorta Northern Cyprus Rally Championship gets under way in Lefke on Sunday 22 April.

The championship returned to the Lefke stages in 2017 after a long absence and was very well received, and it has once again been chosen as the opening round of the 2018 season. The Lefke Rally, which will be run with the title sponsorship of Lefke Municipality and is to be organised every year as a tradition, is also winning the approval of local people.

The Rally Championship, which promises to be action-packed in 2018, will take the breath away with Lefke's unique natural scenery and mountainous stages. Starting from Lefke Çarşı at 10:00, the crews will tackle the Bağlıköy stage twice between 10:30 and 12:00, the legendary Baraj stage twice between 12:00 and 14:00, and the CMC stage, which will be run for the first time, twice between 14:00 and 15:30, before taking the chequered flag back in Lefke Çarşı at 16:00.

A total of 15 crews have entered the Lefke Rally, the opening event of the season.
