Denizli Çardak Gets Its First Taste of Motorsport

The opening round of the 2018 Turkish Hill Climb Championship is being organised by the Ege Otomobil Sporları Kulübü (EOSK), with the support of Denizli Çardak Municipality, in Çardak, Denizli on 21 – 22 April 2018. Run on a course climbing from Beylerli neighbourhood to Hayriye neighbourhood, the event will see competitors from several provinces across Turkey take part in four separate categories.
Hosting a motorsport event for the first time, the 7.1-kilometre asphalt course will be tackled over three runs in the Çardak Hill Climb. Administrative and technical checks will take place at Çardak Municipality building on Saturday 22 April between 15:00 and 17:00. The event will get under way at 17:30 with a symbolic start attended by Çardak Mayor Mahmut Öztürk and a large number of invited guests.
On Sunday 22 April, practice runs will take place between 09:30 and 12:00, followed by the first official start at 13:00. The prize-giving ceremony will be held at 17:30 at the amphitheatre in Çardak Cumhuriyet Square.
Given the closeness of the course to Denizli and Çardak, it is expected to attract great interest from local residents and motorsport fans…
