Karting Wind Blows Through Körfez

Round 6 of the Turkish Karting Championship was held at the Körfez Karting Circuit on 18-19 October, organised by the İstanbul Karting ve Otomobil Kulübü.

After three races in each category, Pars Erdem (Mini), Mert Dalkıran (Formula Junior), Berkay Besler (Formula Senior) and Mehmet Yaman (Formula Masters) finished Round 6 as winners.

In the Mini category, Zekai Özen won the opening race, with Pars Erdem second and Ömer Asaf Kolot third. In the second race on Sunday, Pars Erdem took victory, ahead of Kerim Sülyak in second and Ateş Erdem in third. Pars Erdem won the final race as well, taking the round win with 57 points. In the third race Kerim Sülyak was second and Zekai Özen third. Behind round winner Pars Erdem on 57 points, Zekai Özen took second on 48 points and Kerim Sülyak third on 47 points.

In Formula Junior, Zeynep Şen won the first race, with Mert Dalkıran second and Bora Özcan third. Mert Dalkıran won both races on Sunday to claim the round win. In the second race Bora Özcan was second and Zeynep Şen third, while in the final race Zeynep Şen took second and Özdemir Altıok third. Mert Dalkıran thus finished Round 6 in first place on 57 points. Zeynep Şen was second on 52 points and Bora Özcan third on 45 points.

In Formula Senior, Berkay Besler once again won all three races and took the round win with 60 points. Yiğit Çetin took two second places and one third for a total of 49 points and second overall, while Sarp Kuzey Eroldu, with one second, one third and one fourth, finished third in the round. Muratcan Eğilmez's third place in the third race was not enough.

In Formula Masters, Mehmet Yaman won all three races, with Süleyman Kolot second and Ezel Seçilmiş third. The Round 6 result followed the same order.

The Turkish Karting Championship will conclude with Round 7 on 15-16 November.
