Kazaz Off to an Unlucky Start to the Season

Team Petrol Ofisi crew Kerem Kazaz-Corentin Silvestre, champions for the past two years, had a rather unlucky time at Rally Marmaris Aegean, the opening round of the Petrol Ofisi Maxima 2026 Turkish Rally Championship.

Competing in a Rally3 car in Turkey for the first time as preparation for JWRC Rally Croatia, Kazaz-Silvestre finished a first day shaped by difficult weather conditions and car set-up work in second place, 24.2 seconds behind Ali Türkkan-Oytun Albayrak.

On the second day, the young Red Bull driver set the fastest times on SS6 and SS7, but with the rally's final stage still to run from second place, a driveshaft failure cost around two minutes. Kazaz left Marmaris third overall and as the Junior drivers' winner.
