Spectacular Finale to the Karting Season
The MOTUL 2022 Turkish Karting Championship came to a close with Round 7, held on 29-30 October at the TOSFED Körfez Karting Track with 64 competitors taking part. Staged under the title sponsorship of ICRYPEX, with the support of Marmaris Municipality and the Marmaris Chamber of Commerce and organised by Nimara Otomobil Sporları Kulübü (NİMOSK), the event featured three races in each of five separate classes over the two days. Before racing began, all the competitors came together to pose for a commemorative photograph with the Turkish flag and celebrate 29 October Republic Day and the 99th anniversary of the Republic.
After a closely fought event on both days, Demir Uyan took the win in the Micro class, which featured eight of the future championship contenders, with Uygar Arslan Birgili second and Atlas Tiryakioğlu third. In the Mini class, which had 14 competitors, Dynamic Racing Team's Can Özler won, with Erin Ünlüdoğan second and Cem Karakömür third on the podium. In Mini Girls, Melek Dorum was the winner. 
In the Junior class, which had 11 competitors, Dynamic Racing Team's Emir Tanju finished first, Hakkı Dorum second and Yağız Tekşan third, while in Junior Girls Ayşe Çebi won, Leyla Sulyak was second and Zeynep Çukurova third. 
The Senior class had the biggest entry with 19 competitors, and BOM Karting's Kerim Sulyak took the win, Berk Kalpaklıoğlu second and Mert Ali Sarıçiçek third, while the Senior Girls classification finished with Sude Yurdagül first, Ayda Biter second and Sena Savaşer third.
The Master class, with 12 competitors and the season's biggest entry for the class, produced a podium of BOM Karting's Aytaç Biter in first, Mehmet Çınar second and Murathan Gür third.
At the end of the racing, the awards for the top finishers were presented by MOTUL Group Product Manager Ertan Gündoğdu, NİMOSK President Özhan Seyhan, BUMOSK President Mitat Ülküden, Championship Director Ceyhan Eryalaz and Race Director Yasin Taşdemir.
Founded in Marmaris in 2019 and having so far organised local karting and slalom events, Nimara Otomobil Sporları Kulübü (NİMOSK) successfully completed its first national race event.
