Opportunity for Those Wanting to Start Karting

The Prokart Karting Team Cup is preparing to begin the 2018 season with fresh excitement in its 14th year. Organised by the Istanbul Karting and Automobile Club, known as İKOK, the Prokart series is contested by teams and consists of 5-hour endurance races.
The series is open to all licensed competitors, women and men, aged over 13. Teams must have at least two drivers but there is no upper limit, and individual entrants can also register as members of a team.
Theoretical and practical training is also provided for newcomers to karting, and the series will be held over six rounds in the 2018 season. The races, which will be run at the Istanbul Tuzla, Uşak Supermoto, Sakarya Kenan Sofuoğlu and İzmit Körfez circuits, use sporting go-karts powered by 21-horsepower Rotax engines.
The entry fee has been set at 8,000 TL for individual entries and 30,000 TL for team entries, including the kart, mechanical service, tyre, fuel and oil costs, garage allocation, race registration and insurance fees, as well as a Sparco race suit.
