Karting Season Opens with 72 Entries

The opening round of the MOTUL 2023 Turkish Karting Championship, the Batı Kurumsal Karting Race, is being held on 29-30 April by Bursa Uludağ Motor Spor Kulübü with 72 competitors. The event, which will see the highest entry in the championship's history, will be staged at the TOSFED Körfez Race Track with the support of ICRYPEX, MOTUL, Batı Kurumsal and Uludağ İçecek. Competitors will be classified in five separate categories: micro for ages 6-9, mini for ages 7-12, junior for ages 12-15, senior for those over 14 and master for those over 30, with three races run in every category. The event begins on Saturday 29 April with free and official practice between 09:30 and 12:00. The first day continues with qualifying between 13:20 and 14:30, followed by the first races in all categories from 14:45. On Sunday 30 April, the second races will run between 10:50 and 14:00, followed by the third races between 15:00 and 18:20. At the prize-giving ceremony at 18:35, awards will be presented to the top three finishers in each category.
