Karting Action Hits the Gulf

Round 3 of the 2016 Turkish Karting Championship was organised on 28 May at the Izmit Körfez Karting Circuit by the Bursa Otomobil Sporları Kulübü, known by its abbreviation BOSSEK.
A total of 17 competitors fought it out in Mini, Formula Junior, Formula Senior and Formula Master, with the event concluding after three races in each of the four categories.
In Mini, Kerim Sulyak took his first win of the season, followed by Zekai Özen in second and Ömer Asaf Kolot in third.
In Formula Junior, national team driver Mert Dalkıran added another victory to his winning streak, while young female driver İzel Karasu took second place on the podium.
In Formula Senior, Berkay Besler once again stood on the top step of the podium, with Mert Dalkıran second. Third place in this category went to Gün Taşdelen, with one win and two third places.
In Formula Master, Süleyman Sırrı Kolot took the win by finishing first in two of the three races. Mehmet Çınar claimed second in this category, while third went to Volkan Düzgün.
After a short break, the 2016 Turkish Karting Championship will continue with the fourth round, organised by the İzmir Karting Kulübü (İKK) at the Uşak circuit on 30–31 July.
