Karting Returns to Istanbul After 10 Years

The 2017 Turkish Karting Championship continues with round three, organised by the Turkish Automobile Sports Federation TOSFED in Istanbul on 15-16 July... Around 30 drivers are expected to take part across four classes in the event at the newly opened Tuzla Karting Park, following a 10-year gap.
Businessman Süleyman Kolot and his 9-year-old son Ömer Asaf Kolot, who have been competing together in the Turkish Karting Championship for four seasons, are among the drivers who will take to the track. Alongside the Turkish championship, national team driver Ömer Asaf Kolot is also following the Belgian Rotax Max Challenge series this season, and is aiming for the podium in the Mini class, while father Süleyman Kolot is targeting the podium in the Formula Master class, which is open to drivers over 32...
On Saturday 15 July, after practice sessions, the event will begin with qualifying at 13:00, followed by Race 1 from 14:25. On the morning of Sunday 16 July, the event continues with Race 2 at 11:25 and Race 3 at 13:55, and will conclude with the prize-giving ceremony at the race track at 16:15 the same day.
