Young Turkish Karting Talent Kolot Ready for 2018

The 11-year-old national driver Ömer Asaf Kolot, who represents Turkey on European circuits in karting, is preparing to compete in a higher category in 2018 in both the Belgian Karting Championship, which Kolot has followed for two years, and the Turkish Karting Championship.

Kolot finished second in the 2017 Turkish Karting Championship after seven races, just three points behind the champion on 335 points, and has been karting for five years alongside father Süleyman Kolot. While Kolot Sr competes in the Formula Master class, Ömer Asaf is preparing to race in the Formula Junior class from this season.

The young driver, who continues studying at Bahçeşehir Bilfen Primary School, also attends FCBEscola Istanbul, the official football school of FC Barcelona.
