Excitement at Its Peak in the Fiesta Rally Cup

Turkey's only rally cup, the "Fiesta Rally Cup", continues with Rally Istanbul on 9-10 September. In the overall classification of the Fiesta Rally Cup, the crew of Cem Alakoç-Yusuf Çelik leads, followed by the crews of Ümit Can Özdemir - Batuhan Memişyazıcı and Özcan Söke-Barkın Şahin.
Organised by Ford Motorsport Türkiye, the "Fiesta Rally Cup" offers amateur rally enthusiasts the chance to compete as part of a professional team in its revamped format. After completing the Aegean Rally, the first round of the season, the crews went on to put up a superb fight in the Fiesta Rally Cup at Rally Troia in Çanakkale and Yeşil Bursa Rally."I think the competition will intensify at Rally Istanbul"
Ford Motorsport Türkiye Team Director Serdar Bostancı said ahead of the event: "We have completed three rounds of the Fiesta Rally Cup. Looking back at these three rounds, every crew has shown that they are competitive, and they have also gained very good experience under the Ford Motorsport Türkiye banner. Looking at the standings as well, I think the competition will intensify even further with Rally Istanbul. I wish all the crews the best of luck."
Fiesta Rally Cars at the Top
In the "Fiesta Rally Cup" classification, Ford Fiesta rally cars with different technical specifications compete in different classes: the Fiesta ST, Fiesta R2 and Fiesta R2T. Besides the overall classification, class winners are also rewarded in the Fiesta Rally Cup. Ümit Can Özdemir-Batuhan Memişyazıcı, driving a Fiesta R2T (1.0L EcoBoost), continue to lead the Fiesta R2T class, while Cem Alakoç-Yusuf Çelik, driving a Fiesta R2 (1.6L Zetec), lead the Fiesta R2 class, and Onur Çelikyay-Uğur Çelikyay, also in a Fiesta ST, lead the Fiesta ST class.
