Record Entry for Aegean Rally: 74 Crews

The opening round of the 2017 Turkish Rally Championship, the Saygılı Rulman 27th Aegean Rally, gets under way at 20.00 on the evening of Friday 21 April with a Fatma Turgut concert and the ceremonial start at the Aşık Veysel Park amphitheatre in Bornova...

A total of 74 crews will take the start – 36 national, 8 historic and 30 in the Renç Koçibey Rally Cup – making this the biggest entry in recent years... The rally is expected to produce a fierce fight, with last year's Turkish Rally Champions Peugeot Türkiye and Red Bull-backed crew Yağız Avcı-Bahadır Gücenmez starting with number 1, while free spectator shuttles will depart from Bornova Aşık Veysel Park at 11.00 on Saturday and Sunday.
