The 2016 Turkish Rally Championship gets under way on 16-17 April with the Saygılı Rulman Aegean Rally, organised by the Aegean Automobile Sports Club, abbreviated to EOSK, with Saygılı Rulman as title sponsor and the support of Obel Cıvata, Forum Bornova, Atarlar Petrol, Avis, Ramada Encore Hotel and Ströer Kentvizyon.
When entries closed on the evening of 11 April, the rally had attracted 50 cars and 100 competitors, one of the biggest fields in recent times. With local classification entries open until the evening of Wednesday 13 April, the number is expected to reach 65.
In the national classification, one car will compete in Class 1, four in Class 2, seven in Class N, 13 in Class 3, ten in Class 4, five in Class 5, three in Historic K1 and seven in Historic K2.

FREE SPECTATOR TRANSFERS TO THE STAGES
To boost interest in motorsport and make it easier to watch, a number of initiatives led by TOSFED will be introduced with the Aegean Rally. The event will be promoted at stands set up at five locations, including university campuses in Izmir and Forum Bornova, where registrations will also be taken from those wishing to watch the rally. Registered fans will be taken to the stages on free shuttles departing from set points on rally day, where they will be able to enjoy food and drink and watch the rally accompanied by music.
At 17:30 on Saturday 16 April, the Spectator Stage and Drift Show will be held at İzmir Park Racing Circuit, while at 14:30 on Sunday 17 April free buses will take spectators to the OBEL Civata Power Stage in the direction of Seferihisar Beyler Village.
