Aegean Rally Heads to Seferihisar
Round five of the Shell Helix 2022 Turkish Rally Championship, the Royal Teos Aegean Rally, will be organised by the Aegean Automobile Sports Club (EOSK) for the 31st time on 15-16 October. 
Taking place in Seferihisar and one of the most important sporting events in the Aegean region, the rally will see 67 cars and 134 competitors take on 283.42 kilometres of the event's classic asphalt stages over two days. 
Sponsored by ICRYPEX, Royal Teos Thermal Resort Clinic & Spa, Berkem Motors and Williams High Performance Car Care, the event is also supported by the Izmir Governorship, the Seferihisar District Governorship, the Menderes District Governorship, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and Seferihisar Municipality.
The rally starts in front of Royal Teos at 11:00 on Saturday 15 October. On the opening day the crews will run the Orhanlı (Williams) and Beyler stages twice each, with the day finishing from 18:00. On the morning of Sunday 16 October the crews will get back behind the wheel at 09:00 to run the Çatalca (Royal Teos) and Gödence (Berkem Motors) stages twice, before reaching the finish podium at Teos Marina from 16:30 to bring the rally to a close.
Ahead of the Royal Teos Aegean Rally, Orhan Avcıoğlu of Toksport WRT leads the Shell Helix 2022 Turkish Rally Championship standings, with Burak Çukurova of BC Vision Motorsport second and Ali Türkkan of Castrol Ford Team Türkiye third. Toksport WRT leads the teams' standings, while Castrol Ford Team Türkiye leads the Manufacturers' Championship. In the 2022 Turkish Historic Rally Championship, Üstün Üstünkaya and Kerim Tar of Parkur Racing are in first place, while in the TOSFED Rally Cup, Hakan Gürel of Castrol Ford Team Türkiye holds the lead.
