Ege Asal Motorspor Makes Its Mark in Eskişehir

The opening round of the AVIS 2024 Turkish Hill Climb Championship, the Tecno Eskişehir Hill Climb, was held on 6-7 April at Sakarıılıca by the Eskişehir Automobile Sports Club (ESOK), with ICRYPEX as title sponsor and support from Mihalgazi Municipality and Tecno Mobile. Run over two ascents of the 7.5-kilometre course, the event attracted 31 competitors across five categories. Ege Asal Motorspor entered the first round of the championship with Özgür Şenyüz, Serap Kotan and Yasemin Erikli in Category 1, Şevket Çınar and Murat Çetin in Category 3, and Deniz Dursun in Category 5. Over the two days of competition, Ege Asal Motorspor drivers made their mark in Category 1, with Serap Kotan taking the women's win in a Ford Fiesta R1 and Yasemin Erikli finishing second among the women in a Fiat Palio. Murat Çetin, in a Ford Fiesta R2T in Category 3, and Deniz Dursun, in a BMW E36 320i in Category 5, each finished third to take Ege Asal Motorspor onto the podium. The 2024 AVIS Turkish Hill Climb Championship continues with the Kartepe Hill Climb in Kocaeli on 4-5 May.
