Drifting Comes to Istanbul

The second round of the 2017 Apex Masters Turkish Drift Championship will be held on Sunday 30 July by the Drift Motorsporları Kulübü in the car park of the Atatürk Olympic Stadium.

The event, title-sponsored by PWR Balata and supported by Spor Toto, Red Bull, Power FM, PDS Medya and Motul, will also feature guest drivers from abroad. It begins with administrative and technical checks on Saturday 29 July. Following practice and qualifying runs on the same day, the top 16 will be determined. On Saturday, spectators will round off the day after 18:00 with a fantastic concert featuring rappers such as Eypio, Burak King, Kezzo, Fery, Aspova, Drainoff, Dj Barbaros and Göçmen.
The event is dominated by BMW and Nissan cars with power outputs ranging from 300 to 700 horsepower. On Sunday 30 July, practice runs at 10:00 will be followed by a meet-and-greet ceremony at 12:00. Spectators will have the chance to get to know the drivers and their drift cars up close, chat with the competitors and collect signed posters.

The season's second round starts at 13:00 with head-to-head battles and, through to 17:00, will offer spectators an adrenaline-filled, smoke-laden event with door-to-door fights.
