Drifting Excitement Comes to Izmir

The opening race of the Turkish Circuit Racing Championship was held at the Izmir Ülkü Race Track this weekend. To raise the spectators' excitement even further during the gaps between the circuit races, drivers from the Apex Masters Turkish Drift Series put on a show.

The drivers who travelled from Istanbul drew strong interest from the crowd with their shows and likeable attitude, with Abbas Çimen, Ali İnal, Kemal Soylu and Samet Koran getting Izmir's motorsport fans fired up.
Drifting, which has gained national racing status under the TOSFED umbrella for the first time this year, will open its season in Izmir next weekend. A total of 25 drivers are expected to take part in the first round of the Apex Masters Turkish Drift Championship, which will be hosted by the Izmir Ülkü Race Track.

On Saturday 16 April, after the drift drivers complete their qualifying runs, the rally drivers competing in Aegean Rally will take to the track and the spectator stage will be run.
We look forward to welcoming Aegean racing fans who want to enjoy two different kinds of excitement at the Izmir Ülkü Race Track.
