After qualifying 37th, the young driver climbed 13 places in the semi-final, standing out in particular for his performance in the rain. Having finished the semi-final in 20th, Dalkıran continued his rise in the final. Mert moved up as high as 12th during the race, but lost time when he was pushed off the road after contact from a Ukrainian rival, and could finish the final in 19th.
