Thrills and Excitement at Yenipazar

The second and third races of the Aegean Autocross Cup were held at the Yenipazar Autocross track of the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, organised by the Aydın Automobile Sports Club (AYOSK) with the support of Fernas Otoyol and 4 Renk Eğitim Kurumu. Run as two separate races across four categories on 26-27 October, the event saw drivers battle fiercely on the demanding dirt track.

In Category 1, Faruk Sayın set the fastest times in both races to finish the day in first place, and his 5:17.17 secured the track record. Serdar Sarıduman took second, while Onur Sınırdere completed the podium in third.

In Category 2, 17-year-old Kaan Yudulmaz, who comes from a karting background, left his experienced rivals behind to take a double victory. Kuvvet Erim finished second in both races, while Mithat Diker, who has more than 50 years behind him on the tracks, completed the races in third.

In Category 3, Hakan Akman was the quickest driver of the day in both races, also setting the fastest lap in the first race. Mithat Diker, competing in this category with a Ford Escort MK2, collected a pair of second-place trophies. In the women's category, Yasemin Erikli won both races, while Serap Kotan took second in the first race and third in the second, and Candan Erim took third in the first race and second in the second.

The awards for the top finishers in the Aegean Autocross Cup, organised by the Aydın Automobile Sports Club, will be presented at a gala to be held in December.
