Avcı and Gücenmez Win in Bulgaria

The Rally Bulgaria, which counted towards the European Rally Cup and the Balkan Rally Cup and was also the second round of the Turkish Rally Championship, ended in victory for Neo Motorspor crew Yağız Avcı-Bahadır Gücenmez in their Peugeot 208 T16 R5.
BC Vision Motorsport's Burak Çukurova-Vedat Bostancı finished second overall in their Skoda Fabia R5, while third place went to the Bulgarian crew Ignat Isaev-Milen Iliev. Mustafa Çakal-Mehmet Köleoğlu of GP Garage My Team won Class N in their Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX, while Uğur Soylu-Aras Dinçer finished ninth overall and third in Class 2, and Adil Küçüksarı-Kerim Tar were tenth overall and second in Class N, completing the Turkish crews in the overall classification.
The other Turkish crews to reach the finish were Ahmet Burkay-Burak Akçay in 11th, Ferhat Tanrıbilir-Kutay Ertuğrul 13th, Cem Alakoç-Yusuf Çelik 14th, Menderes Okur-Ufuk Uluocak 17th, Hakan Ertarman-Erdal Gömügen 19th, Erkan Güral-Burak Koçoğlu 22nd, Ömer Köstek-Deniz Gülcan 23rd, Fırat Yükselir-Ecem Çalık 26th and Murat Soyçopur-Can Hergüner 29th.
Of the 17 Turkish crews that started Rally Bulgaria, 14 made it to the finish, while Orhan Avcıoğlu-Burçin Korkmaz (Ford Fiesta R5), Burcu Çetinkaya Bucak-Emire Cantürk Eren (Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX) and Osman Uğur-Tuğba Bora (Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX) retired with mechanical failures...
The 2017 Turkish Rally Championship continues with the Troia Rally, organised by ESOK in Çanakkale from 30 June to 2 July, which counts towards the European Rally Cup, the Balkan Rally Cup and the Bulgarian Rally Championship.
