Tanrıverdi Fastest at Bornova

Round 5 of the 2017 Turkish Hill Climb Championship was organised by the Aegean Automobile Sports Club (EOSK). Held over three runs on a 5.10km course climbing to Kayadibi Village in İzmir's Bornova district, the event saw 15 competitors from Istanbul, İzmir, Bursa, Kocaeli, Antalya, Sakarya and Ankara battle it out across four categories.
BornovaTirmanma-K1-EnginApaydinIn Category 1, Bursa's Engin Apaydın took the win in a Citroen Saxo VTS, with Ramazan Ekiz from Ankara second in a Fiat Palio and İzmir's Aydoğan Savcıer third in a Renault 11 Flash.
BornovaTirmanma-K2-FerhatTanribilirIn Category 2, Ferhat Tanrıbilir from Kocaeli continued his winning streak at Bornova in a Peugeot 208 R2. Çağlar Ünüvar from Ankara was second in an Opel Astra GSI, while Sinan Dündar from Istanbul completed the podium in third in a Citroen Saxo VTS.
BornovaTirmanma-OkanTanriverdiIn Category 3, GP Garage My Team driver Okan Tanrıverdi from Antalya, who is moving step by step towards the championship title in his Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX, once again took the top step of the podium. He also set the fastest time of the day, leaving İzmir with two trophies. Erdal Etyemez from Ankara was second in a Renault Clio II Sport, with Yasin Güleç from Sakarya third in a Peugeot 206 RC.
BornovaTirmanma-K4-CemYalinIn Category 4, Istanbul's Cem Yalın, who began competing this season in a Mazda RX-8, took the win, with Cem Yudulmaz second in a prototype Opel Corsa GSI. Efe Albağlar, who came into the event as category leader in the championship, went off the road unluckily and left his home event without points.
