Berk Makes Fast Start to RMC Season

The 2015 Rotax Max Challenge Türkiye season got under way with races at Körfez Circuit on 28-29 March. Berk Durak won all three races at the season-opening round, with Gülhüseyin Abdullayev finishing second and Mehmet Çınar third.

In Saturday's qualifying, Berk Durak set the fastest time, with Ezel Seçilmiş second quickest. In Race 1, Berk Durak took a comfortable win. Gülhüseyin Abdullayev was second, Mehmet Çınar third and Ezel Seçilmiş fourth.

The order was unchanged in both races on Sunday. Berk Durak won, Gülhüseyin Abdullayev was second and Mehmet Çınar third. Mehmet Yaman took fourth in Race 2, while Yusuf Özkuru was fourth in the final race.

After Round 1, Berk Durak leads the overall standings on 102 points. Gülhüseyin Abdullayev is second on 99 points and Mehmet Çınar third on 96 points. Mehmet Çınar also took the lead of the Master category after the first round. In the overall standings, Ezel Seçilmiş is fourth, Yusuf Kuru fifth and Mehmet Yaman sixth. In Master, Ezel Seçilmiş is the second-placed driver.

Round 2 of the season will be held in Izmir on 9-10 May.
