Mayor Yılmaz Backs Veziroff

TOSFED Sporting Commission member Metin Yılmaz, together with Abbas Tasalı, President of the Vezirköprü Alternative Nature Sports and Off-road Club (abbreviated VEZİROFF), and the club's board members, paid a visit to Samsun Metropolitan Mayor Yusuf Ziya Yılmaz.
The delegation briefed the mayor on the motorsport events taking place in the province of Samsun and presented a painting made by students with Down syndrome from the Samsun Special Education Work Application Centre.VEZİROFF President Abbas Tasalı gave details of the Samsun round of the 2018 Turkish Off-road Championship, to be held in Samsun on 30 June-1 July, and asked Mayor Yılmaz for support for the championship.
Expressing his satisfaction with the visit, Mayor Yılmaz said: "We want Samsun to be the centre of every branch of sport. We are always ready to do whatever falls to us to achieve that. Samsun is now a city of tourism, sport and health. In sport in particular, there is no facility we lack in our province. Our geography and geopolitical position are very well suited to sport of every discipline. We also have our Kurtuluş Yolu (Road to Liberation), which is an important site for historical tourism.
