Father and Son Take to the Track in Uşak

Businessman Süleyman Kolot and his 9-year-old son Ömer Asaf Kolot, who have raced together in the Turkish Karting Championship for four seasons, will be on track this weekend. Aiming for the podium in Round 5 of the Turkish Karting Championship, which takes place on Sunday 21 August at the Uşak Municipality Race Track, the Kolots currently sit second in the standings in their respective classes.
Alongside the Turkish Championship, Ömer Asaf Kolot is also following the Belgian Rotax Max Challenge and the Belgian BNL Karting Series this season, and is aiming to win the mini class in Uşak to move back into the championship lead. The successful young racer, who earned the right to become a national athlete this year, also plays football in addition to karting.
Father Süleyman Kolot is second in the Formula Master class, which is open to competitors aged over 32, on 199 points, just 7 points behind his closest rival after winning two of the four rounds so far and finishing second in the other two.
