Excitement and Thrills Combine at Aydın Autocross

The Aydın Autocross, the opening autocross event of the 2025 Ömer Tolon Season, was held on Sunday 1 June by the Aydın Automobile Sports Club (AYOSK). Staged on the course at the Yenipazar Motorsports Area with the support of Spor Toto, UMA, Mondial, Fernas and 4 Renk, the event brought together 24 competitors, nine of them women, across five different classes.

In an event that provided adrenaline-filled moments for both drivers and spectators, Onur Sınırdere took the win in Category 1. Candan Erim was second, while Kuvvet Erim completed the race in third. In Category 2, Serdar Sarıduman claimed the top step of the podium, while Mithat Diker, who has now spent 53 years on the track, took the runner-up trophy. Nihan Özcan finished third on the podium in a first race.

In Category 3, Kubilay Ersin Türkmen won, with Utku Adsan second and Yenipazar Mayor Malik Ercan third. In Category 4, which had two starters, Hakan Akman took the win and Deniz Kübra Ulusoy finished second. In the women's category, Candan Erim won, while Özlem Sapansüren and Özgül Gülcü, two women taking their first steps in motorsport at this event, finished second and third respectively.

At the end of the event, which drew great interest from the people of Yenipazar and motorsport enthusiasts from neighbouring provinces, the top finishers received their trophies and awards to loud applause.
