We caught up with Red Bull athlete Ali Türkkan, one of the most successful young drivers of recent times, who competes for Castrol Ford Team Türkiye, for a short interview on the 2022 season and plans for the new year. In 2021, the young driver won the FIA Balkan Rally Trophy and the FIA European Rally Trophy titles in the Two-Wheel Drive and Junior categories, and most recently won a silver medal for Turkey in the Rally4 class at the 2022 FIA Motorsport Games.Ali Türkkan Season ReviewHow did you get started in motorsport?
I started karting in 2005, when I was just 6 years old.

On a long, narrow road :-)

How did the 2022 season go? What were your goals, and did you manage to achieve them?
In 2022, with Castrol Ford Team Türkiye, we didn't reach our goal of the Turkish Rally Championship title. But we did manage to win a silver medal for our country at the FIA Motorsport Games in France.Ali Türkkan Season ReviewWhat are your goals for the 2023 season?
If the opportunity arises, we aim to represent our country abroad again, as we did in 2021, and set sail for new successes.
