Yıldırım Impresses in Italy

Twelve-year-old Turkish national karting driver Batı Yıldırım returned to the track in Italy after almost a year away because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Taking the wheel at round five of the ROK Cup at the Adria circuit, the young Turkish driver adapted quickly to the track after such a long break, despite limited practice time. In the Mini class, which featured 26 drivers from 10 countries, Yıldırım earned a place on the sixth row of the grid after qualifying and went on to finish both races held over the weekend in sixth place.
Batı Yıldırım is now preparing to take to the track at the ROK Super Final, to be held at the South Garda Karting circuit in Lonato, Italy, on 16-17 October.
