Yeşil Bursa Rally Gears Up for 50th Edition

First organised in 1973 by what was then known as the Bursa Motorsport Enthusiasts Club (BOSSEK), the Yeşil Bursa Rally will be run for the 50th time this year on 6-7 June, with 55 crews taking part.

Round three of the 2026 Petrol Ofisi Maxima Turkish Rally Championship, the rally will be held with Aloft by Marriott as title sponsor, and with the support of Petrol Ofisi Maxima, Spor Toto, Osmangazi Municipality, Şentürk Otomotiv, Remed Assistance, Salados, Fora, Power App, AutoClub, Mavi Yeşil Danışmanlık and Bidijital.

Founded on 10 September 1972 under the presidency of Orhan Akiş, BOSSEK went on to be led by Feridun Pehlivan, Mahmut Erdilek, İsmail Koşarer, Sabri Ersavaş, Atilla Parlamış, Raşit Barışıcı, Selçuk Özsevinç, Emin Akça, Fethi Önder, Erdal Elbay, Atilla Beyhan and, currently, Mete Pala, who continues in the role. The event begins with the start ceremony in front of Osmangazi Municipality at 19:00 on Friday 5 June. On the opening day, a 3.30-kilometre spectator stage in the Hüseyinalan-Mürseller area will then be run at 20:30.

The second day of the rally, on Saturday 6 June, features nine special stages in the Orhaneli-Keles area with a total length of 126.30 km. From 09:00, the Petrol Ofisi Maxima (Göynükbelen) and Remed Assistance (Dağgüney) stages will each be run twice. The day will end from 19:27 at the Gökmen Aerospace Aviation Training Centre (GUHEM), which also hosts the service park.

The final day of the demanding asphalt rally, on Sunday 7 June, starts at 08:30 with the Y.Nedim Çelik (Soğukpınar) and Şentürk Otomotiv (Hüseyinalan) stages, each run twice, before the finish podium at the Aloft by Marriott Bursa Hotel from 16:15.

In the 49-year history of the country's oldest rally still being run, Ali Bacıoğlu and Yağız Avcı have each stood on the top step of the podium six times, Serkan Yazıcı and Burak Çukurova five times each, Emre Yerlici four times and Volkan Işık three times.

After Aegean Rally and Rally Bodrum, Kerem Kazaz leads the 2026 Petrol Ofisi Maxima Turkish Rally Championship standings on 45 points, followed by Burak Çukurova on 39 and Uğur Soylu on 32. In the Behiç Yurdaçalışan TOSFED Rally Cup, Ömer Güneş leads on 37 points, with Orçun Nural second on 30 and Giuseppe Agazzi third on 22.
