Rain Tests Drivers at Hill Climb Opener

The opening round of the AVIS 2026 Turkish Hill Climb Championship, the Sarıcakaya Hill Climb, was held in Eskişehir on Sunday 17 May, organised by Eskişehir Otomobil Spor Kulübü (ESOK) with the support of Sarıcakaya Municipality.

Rain and fog made for testing conditions that at times pushed the competitors hard. At the end of the event, the class wins were shared by İlker Aktaş of GP Garage My Team in Category 1, Hilal Aslan in Category 2, Metehan Güleç in Category 3 and, again from GP Garage My Team, Sinan Soylu in Category 4.

Soylu also set the fastest run of the day with a 05:34.83, and GP Garage My Team took the teams' win at the Sarıcakaya Hill Climb. The women's class wins went to Deniz Kübra Ulusoy in Category 1 and Hilal Aslan in Category 2.
