Big Battles at Tuzla

The second round of the MOTUL Turkish Karting Championship was held at Tuzla Karting Park on 8-9 July, with 64 competitors across five categories, under the title sponsorship of ICRYPEX. Organised by Tuzla Motorsporları Spor Kulübü (TMK), the event began with the first races on Saturday in sunny weather, while the second and third races on Sunday, run in the rain, produced big battles. 
In the micro category, open to competitors aged 6-9, Doruk Sırnaç finished first, Guido Ebergenyi Miliceviç second and Efe Bozkurt third, while the mini category results will be confirmed and announced later following an appeal. 
In the junior category for 12-15-year-olds, the top three places went to Yağız Tekşan, Hakkı Dorum and Ayşe Çebi, while in the senior category for those aged over 14, Kerim Sulyak took victory, Gün Taşdelen finished second and Timothy Lamberts third. 
In the master category for those aged over 30, Murathan Gür won, Can Özdoğan was second and Mehmet Çınar third on the podium. In the women's junior category, Ayşe Çebi was first, Leyla Sulyak second and Nisan Kalkavan third, while in the women's senior category Sena Savaşer took the win and Zeynep Çukurova finished second. Dynamic Racing Team won the teams' classification. 
The MOTUL Turkish Karting Championship continues with the third round, organised by Kocaeli Karting ve Otomobil Spor Kulübü (KO-KART) at the TOSFED Körfez Race Track on 22-23 July.
