The 2020 FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) calendar, made up of 14 events, has been approved by the FIA World Motor Sport Council and has come into force. Following changes to the calendar, the rallies in Spain, Corsica and Australia have been dropped, while Kenya, New Zealand and Japan are the new additions to the championship. Rally Turkey, which has carved out a special place for itself with its successful organisation over the past two years, has been announced as the 11th round of the calendar, to be held on 24-27 September. Over the past two years, with the support of our Ministry of Youth and Sports, our Minister Dr Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu and our Spor Toto Organisation Presidency, we have staged top-level events. These events received praise from our governing body, the International Automobile Federation (FIA), as well as from the manufacturer teams and drivers who took part in our rally. As a result, we got our option accepted on our own terms, and we are ready once again to show our country's strength to the whole world, strengthen its image abroad and contribute to its promotion."
