What can we imagine when we say rally and art?

How can the dust swallowed and the stones flung up on a rally become the material for an art form beyond visual arts such as photography and painting? While feelings of astonishment, admiration and pride rise, it is not hard to believe that anything is possible whenever a passion meets creativity.

Ersin Tunç immortalises the moment of competition of racing cars in three dimensions, adding a new dimension by combining the materials used with skill and craftsmanship in a technique never tried before...

A brief description of this art might be that, taking photographs of rally cars, either stationary or in action, as the reference, they are recreated one-to-one and take on three dimensions in the hands of the master, but it could never be enough. You could also call it a crazy job :)

This work demands manual skill and differs from other model car techniques because of its own distinctive technique. When the master hands over to the apprentice, the artist's art will be able to come to life in other hands. What makes this special and important is the technique developed alongside the skill and artistry on display. These special rally models, at 1/18 scale, have already become a focus of interest for rally fans all over the world and have started to be sent abroad...

Now evaluating different projects as well, not just rally models, Ersin Tunç has started making racing helmet models using the same system, so don't be surprised if drivers' helmets are soon recreated exactly one-to-one too...
