Prokart Double-Header Held at Uşak

Rounds 3 and 4 of the Istanbul Sportif Karting Endurance Championship (Prokart) were held on 10 September at the Uşak Race Track, organised by İKOK – Istanbul Karting and Automobile Club. With a tough weekend awaiting the teams, and two rounds of the series being run back to back, the weekend carried great importance for the season.
Round 3 was held on Saturday 9 September. After qualifying, Uçanzi started from the front, with Chronos second. In the first stage, Uçanzi used its qualifying advantage to pull clear, while Deniz Yıldızı made a good start to settle into second, with Chronos, TKŞ Power and Çoban Yıldızı lined up right behind. These four teams fought a close battle for a long time, providing the kind of racing the spectators were hoping for. At the end of Stage 1, Uçanzi, TKŞ Power and Deniz Yıldızı held the top places, and all teams except Uçanzi and Alfa refuelled to start the second stage with an advantage. In the second stage, Deniz Yıldızı made good use of that advantage and held the lead for a long time. However, a mechanical failure forced the team into the pits and it dropped to last. Although it closed up the gaps and got back onto the same lap, the result did not change. At the end of the day, Uçanzi finished first, TKŞ Power second, Alfa third, Deniz Yıldızı fourth, Chronos fifth and Çoban Yıldızı sixth.
Round 4 was held on Sunday 10 September. After qualifying, unlike the previous day, Uçanzi started from the front, with TKŞ Power second and Deniz Yıldızı third. In the first stage, the teams' lap times were very close to one another. TKŞ Power, which had secured second place by the end of the stage, pitted in the final minutes to refuel and start the second race with an advantage. The 2 seconds lost in the pits cost it a place to Alfa, and it finished third. When the second stage began, Uçanzi and Alfa, who had not refuelled, chose to start from the pits. As the race went on, Chronos put in a very strong performance and held the lead and the best time. After the compulsory pit stop for the driver change and fuel, race leader Chronos rejoined behind Deniz Yıldızı, who were running second. With one hour remaining, Chronos had a one-lap advantage. The other teams fell out of the race with mechanical problems. All eyes turned to Chronos and Deniz Yıldızı. The one-lap gap between them began to close towards the end of the race. With 9 minutes remaining, Deniz Yıldızı passed Chronos to take the lead and won the stage. At the end of the day, Uçanzi finished first, Deniz Yıldızı second, Alfa third, Chronos fourth, TKŞ Power fifth and Çoban Yıldızı sixth.
The Uçanzi team took a big advantage by winning both rounds. The final races of the season will be held on 30 September – 1 October.
