Marmaris Gears Up for Major Event

The Turkish Rally Championship will continue on the Aegean coast in May, following the round in Izmir. Turkey's oldest international motorsport event, the Turkey Rally, will be held for the 45th time from 13-15 May, and for the first time in the Marmaris district of Muğla under the name Marmaris Rally Turkey.

Alongside the rally, the Marmaris Auto Sport Fest, which also comprises the Marmaris Off-road Race and the Historic Western Anatolia Classic Car Race, will host around 150 vehicles and 300 competitors. Besides counting towards the European Rally Cup, the rally will award points in the Turkish Rally Championship and the Turkish Historic Rally Championship, with competitors from European countries also joining the entries from Turkey.

FREE ACCOMMODATION FOR ALL COMPETITORS
Details of the accommodation available for the Marmaris Rally, the Marmaris Off-road Race and the Historic Western Anatolia Classic Car Race, all held as part of the festival, were announced in a notice published on the TOSFED website on 19 April.

It was stated that competitors taking part in the rally, off-road and classic races will be given one double room free of charge for the driver and co-driver for four nights, on 11, 12, 13 and 14 May. Discounted hotel rates for competitors, teams and rally fans who need extra accommodation or want to watch the event have also been published on the TOSFED website.
