Kolot Finishes Season in Third Place

The 12-year-old Ömer Asaf Kolot, a TOSFED-backed driver in the Turkish National Team who represented Turkey this season in the Belgian Rotax Max Challenge (BMC), was at the Genk circuit in Belgium on 20-21 October.
In the fifth and final round of the series, facing 18 rivals from seven different countries in the Mini Max class, Turkey's national driver played a strategic weekend, avoiding any risk to the points tally in order to finish the season on the podium. Collecting the points needed to complete the season as Belgian Rotax Max Challenge Mini Max third-placed finisher, Kolot achieved the most important result of his career in his second season in Belgium.With one round of the season remaining, Ömer Asaf Kolot has already mathematically secured the Turkish Karting Mini Class Championship title, and will close out the season at Round 7, to be held at Körfez Karting Circuit on 10-11 November.
