Kerem Kazaz Takes Championship Lead

Rally Bodrum, the second round of the Petrol Ofisi Maxima 2026 Turkish Rally Championship organised by Karya Automobile Sports Club, ended in victory for the Kerem Kazaz-Corentin Silvestre crew from Team Petrol Ofisi.

Burak Çukurova-Burak Akçay of BC Vision Egemot Motorsport finished second, while Hüseyin Çetmen-Soner Çevik took third place overall and the Class 3 win.

Kazaz-Silvestre also won Class 2, the Power Stage and the Young Drivers' category, while Team Petrol Ofisi claimed the teams' title. Kazaz was also presented with the Gendarmerie Special Stage fastest time award, the Black Shark special award designed by Esin Kara, a student at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University, and an original artwork by Hüseyin Kuşataner of MAJİ Art Gallery.

The rally, which featured a fierce fight on the asphalt stages around Milas and Bodrum, also had another special award, the Emre Yerlici Special Stage fastest time award. Burak Çukurova-Burak Akçay received it from Emre Yerlici, the 1988, 1989 and 1990 Turkish Rally Champion.

In a rally contested by 35 cars and 70 competitors, the Ömer Faruk Çabuk-Alperen Tetik crew won the 2WD category and Class 4, while Uğur Kaban-Melih Uygun triumphed in Class 5 and Sevgi Aktürk-Begüm Uludağ in Class N.

The Aktürk-Uludağ crew, competing with Onvo support, also won both the female drivers' and female co-drivers' categories and took the Remed Assistance Special Award.

The Petrol Ofisi Maxima 2026 Turkish Rally Championship continues with the third round, the 50th Yeşil Bursa Rally, organised by Bursa Automobile Sports Club (BOSSEK) on 6-7 June.
