Karting Action Heads to Uşak

Round 2 of the MOTUL 2022 Turkish Karting Championship was held in Uşak on 11-12 June with 49 drivers taking part. Organised by Kütahya Çini Spor Kulübü with the support of ICRYPEX and Uşak Municipality, as part of the Uşak Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports's 30 August 100th anniversary events, the event hosted closely fought racing across five categories over two days.
In the Mini category, which featured 12 drivers, DRT team's Can Özler took the win, with Erin Ünlüdoğan second and BOM Karting's Teoman Hoskin third on the podium. In Mini Girls, DRT team's Melek Dorum took the win.
The Junior category, with 10 drivers, finished with DRT team's Emir Tanju first, Hakkı Dorum of the same team second and Ayşe Çebi third, while in the Junior Girls classification DRT team's Ayşe Çebi won, team-mate Leyla Sulyak was second and Zeynep Büyükpınar third.
In the Senior category, which had the biggest entry with 18 drivers, BOM Karting's Kerim Sulyak took the win, Berk Kalpakoğlu was second and DRT team's Gün Taşdelen third, while the Senior Girls classification was completed with Sena Savaşer first, BOM Karting's Ayda Biter second and Sude Nur Yurdagül third.
The Master category, with six drivers on track, produced a podium of Cem Aşık first, Mehmet Çınar second and Aytaç Biter third. DRT (Dynamic Racing Team) won the teams' classification at the event, while in the TOSFED Micro Support Cup, open to drivers aged 6-9, Demir Uyan took first place, Doruk Sırnaç was second and Teoman Tanrısever third.
The MOTUL 2022 Turkish Karting Championship continues with Round 3, organised by Tuzla Karting Club in Istanbul on 2-3 July.
