Cappadocia, which welcomes millions of tourists every year with its historical and natural beauty, is now preparing to host an adrenaline-filled event. All eyes are on the Cappadocia Rally, which Başkent Turing Spor Kulübü will organise on 24-25 August, hosted by Nevşehir Municipality.

With a total route of 192.90 kilometres and gravel special stages covering 62.74 kilometres, the Cappadocia Rally is a first in the history of the region. The event, which will take place with the support of the Nevşehir Governorship and Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University, will begin with a ceremonial start in front of Kayaşehir Castle at 19.30 on 24 August.

From 09.00 on Sunday 25 August, the crews will tackle the Uçhisar, Göreme and Ürgüp stages twice each, and will fight hard to claim their prizes at the finish ceremony, again to be held in front of Kayaşehir Castle at 16.00.

Nevşehir's Journey to Becoming a Sports Capital

Nevşehir Mayor Rasim Arı, in a statement about the organisation of the Cappadocia Rally, stressed that they are moving with determined steps towards making Nevşehir the capital of sport. Mayor Arı said he had inspected the work carried out on all of the rally's stages on site, and that he and his team had worked with great dedication to ensure the event runs smoothly. Noting that great efforts are also being made to have the Cappadocia Rally included in the 2025 Turkish Rally Championship calendar, Rasim Arı said that all work towards this goal is being carried out in line with international standards.
