Türkkan-Albayrak Crew Win in Istanbul

The Orhan Yüce 45th Istanbul Rally, round six of the Petrol Ofisi Maxima 2025 Turkish Rally Championship, ended with victory for the Ali Türkkan-Oytun Albayrak crew from Castrol Ford Team Türkiye. Of the 47 crews that started the demanding rally, 28 reached the finish. The event was organised by the Istanbul Automobile Sports Club (İSOK) with the support of Yüce Auto, Spor Toto, Remed Assistance, Sardunya, Salados, Fora Araç Takip, Power App, Auto Club, Sardunya, T.T.O.K. and Tuzla Municipality.

Red Bull driver Ali Türkkan took the lead on the first stage and held it to the end of the rally, also completing the event as Class 3 winner. The Kerem Kazaz-Corentin Silvestre crew from Team Petrol Ofisi finished second overall and won Class 2, with Kazaz also taking the young drivers' win. Third overall in the eight-stage rally went to the Romanian crew of Andrei Girtofan-Emil Pulpea from GP Garage My Team.

The Class 4 and two-wheel-drive wins went to the Reha Aybey-Eralp Kumartaşlıoğlu crew, while Okan Öztürk-Hakan Uçuçu of GP Garage My Team took the Class N win. Sevgi Aktürk won the women's drivers' award, and Asena Sancaklı, competing with her son Demir Sancaklı, took the women's co-drivers' award. The Class 5 win went to the Romanian guest crew of Eduard Grigoriu-George Grigorescu, and Team Petrol Ofisi won the teams' classification.

The TOSFED Rally Cup classification, run this year in memory of Berç Arhanyan, also produced a great battle. The Eskişehir crew of Evren Olcay-Yenal Kaya took the overall and Category 2 wins, with Ömer Güneş-Sevi Akal of Parkur Racing second. Güneş-Akal also won Category 3 and the women's co-drivers' award.

Murat Çetin-Derya Ulus of GMG Racing Team completed the Cup podium in third. In Category 1, Faruk Sayın-Hilal Olgun were the winners, while the Cup's women's drivers' win went to Çiğdem Tümerkan.

The Petrol Ofisi Maxima 2025 Turkish Rally Championship will conclude with Rally Kocaeli on 6-7 December.
