Hasan Kalaycı Remembered

Hasan Kalaycı, a seven-time Turkish Motocross Champion between 1967 and 1974, who took up rallying from 1971 in Murat 124, Anadol and Murat 131 cars and won the Turkish Rally Championship in 1981 with his wife Tuna Kalaycı as co-driver, was remembered at a special event on 16 March, the eighth anniversary of his passing.
The family of Hasan Kalaycı, who died in a road accident in 2008, held a memorial day on Wednesday 16 March, the anniversary of his death, together with friends devoted to motorcycle and motor sport. Alongside his wife and children, many figures from the car and motorcycle community attended the event, where the Murat 131 rally car in which Hasan Kalaycı competed with Tuna Kalaycı at the 1982 Günaydın Rally, running as car number 1, was also put on display.
