Ege Asal Motorspor Makes a Fast Start to the Season

Ege Asal Motorspor, which took to the stages for the first time this season at the Marmaris Aegean Rally, made a successful start to the year. The team competed in four different categories with four cars at the Marmaris Aegean Rally. Kemal Çetinkaya and Tolga Tezeken, who compete in Group N of the Petrol Ofisi Maxima 2024 Turkish Rally Championship with a Subaru Impreza WRX, made a bold start to the season by taking the class win trophy in Class N. Another of the team's crews, Nusret Bayrakdar and Özgür Şenyüz, also left their first test in their new Citroen C2 with a trophy. Nusret Bayraktar, who is also the team director, took the third-place trophy in Category 2, while Özgür Şenyüz took the third-place co-driver trophy. Ege Asal Motorspor's female crew, Çiğdem Tümerkan and Zeynep Tümerkan, took a total of 4 trophies in Category 1 of the Celal Gülerhan TOSFED Rally Cup with a Ford Fiesta R1. The mother-and-daughter crew, who won both the driver and co-driver classifications in Category 1, also took the trophies for first among female drivers and second among female co-drivers.

All but one of the team's crews reached the finish and took trophies. Murat Çetin and Derya Ulus, who were competing in the Celal Gülerhan TOSFED Rally Cup with a Ford Fiesta R2T, were unable to reach the finish because of a clutch problem ahead of the rally's final stage.
