Mert Dalkıran, the young Turkish national karting driver representing our country in this season's CIK-FIA Karting Academy Trophy, heads to the Genk circuit in Belgium this weekend for the second race. Having achieved many successful results at national and international level to date, Dalkıran earned the right to take part in this demanding contest in 2015 as the third Turkish driver, following Berkay Besler and Yiğit Çetin.

The drivers selected by their national federations compete in the CIK-FIA Karting Academy Trophy over six races in three different countries. This top-level championship, in which drivers aged 13-15 from 24 different countries battle fiercely, is held at three international karting circuits in Belgium, Italy and France.

Mert Dalkıran made his first start in the series at Zuera in Spain on 22-24 May. After the second round in Belgium on 9-12 July, the driver will complete the series with the French round on 10-13 September.

We wish our young driver every success in this tough challenge.
