Can Alakoç Makes History in Lithuania

15-year-old Can Alakoç scored another major success at Rally Utena in Lithuania on 30 September-1 October.
Having finished the first day of the rally as the leader in both the Juniors and Class 4, Alakoç went on the attack on the second day, particularly in the last two stages, and took the Class 4 win by 0.42 seconds ahead of an experienced rival. With this result, Can completed the 2023 Lithuanian Rally Championship as Juniors and Class 4 Champion.
Having finished last month's 2023 Baltic Rally Championship as Class 3 Champion in a field of 19 competitors, Alakoç has now won a double title in Lithuania this weekend, and will take the last start of the season at Rally Saaremaa in Estonia on 7-8 October, in preparation for the 2024 Estonian Rally Championship.
Born in 2008, Alakoç is Turkey's youngest rally driver. The driver competed in Latvia, the only country in the world where rallying is permitted from the age of 14, and also followed the 2023 Lithuanian Rally Championship with special permission from the Lithuanian Automobile Federation.
We congratulate our young representative and wish continued success.
