SPECIAL ENVIRONMENTAL INITIATIVES
As it did last year, Karya Otomobil Spor Kulübü (KAROSK) will carry out a special project at Rally Bodrum to draw attention to carbon footprints, sponsored by Globalis and run in collaboration with Commited App and Sistem Mühendislik. The total carbon footprint produced by the fossil-fuel cars competing in the event will be determined through a comprehensive report prepared in line with international standards. An amount of funding equal to the resulting carbon emissions will then be directed to projects in Bodrum that capture carbon from the air or prevent emissions.

Further measures will include MisGibi1Bodrum members and stage marshals cleaning up spectator areas using microplastic-free, 100% plant-based Packoala bin bags produced in Bodrum; the distribution of seeded pencils to marshals to raise environmental awareness; the sourcing of materials from local producers to reduce the carbon footprint; and the placement of QR-coded signs in spectator areas to promote environmental awareness.
