Thank-You Message from President Serkan Yazıcı

The President of the Turkish Automobile Sports Federation, Serkan Yazıcı, has published a letter of thanks following Rally Turkey.

Noting that the event, organised by TOSFED, returned to the FIA WRC World Rally Championship after an eight-year absence with a superb organisation, Yazıcı wrote in his letter:

"Our President, Mr Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, gave enormous support to bringing this event back to our country; he came to Marmaris, watched the rally in person and presented the winners' awards. We express our gratitude to him for his valued support and his presence.

In the same way, our Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu, our former minister Dr Osman Aşkın Bak, our Director General of Sports Mehmet Baykan and the Spor Toto Organisation Directorate provided every kind of support throughout the process.

We would also like to thank our Minister of Industry and Technology, Mr Mustafa Varank, FIA President Jean Todt, AK Parti İzmir MP Alpay Özalan, AK Parti Muğla MPs Mehmet Yavuz Demir and Yelda Erol Gökcan, and AK Parti Aydın MP Bekir Kuvvet Erim, who honoured our event with their presence, for their support.

With the pride of showcasing the beauty of our country to the whole world through our event, which was followed by millions of people through live broadcasts in 155 countries thanks to a large and successful team effort, we thank the competitors, the Turkish and international media, and the more than 900 volunteers who took part and worked so hard to make the event run flawlessly.
