AVIS 2026 Turkish Circuit Racing Championship Round 2 / TOSFED Istanbul Park

Round two of the AVIS 2026 Turkish Circuit Racing Championship was held at TOSFED Istanbul Park, with the support of AVIS, Spor Toto, Tuzla Municipality, Salados and Power App. In a weekend that saw 23 cars compete in the Maxi and Super classes, rain on the first day made official practice and qualifying difficult for the drivers, while the two races run in sunshine on Sunday produced fierce battles.

In the opening Maxi race, Galip Atar, racing for Sesa European GT Team, took the win, with Seda Kaçan Bakan of Texaco Team AMS second and her team-mate Berk Kalpaklıoğlu third. An accident on the first lap of the second race put four competitors out, and the race was restarted. Race one winner Galip Atar was unable to continue after his car was damaged in contact and suffered a puncture, and after 12 laps it was Texaco Team AMS drivers who took the podium places. Seda Kaçan Bakan took the win, with Umut Göktaş second and Berk Kalpaklıoğlu third, each lifting a trophy.

In the Super class, the fight for the lead among the Hyundai i20 Ns produced exciting battles. Orçun İnce won both races, with Team ADD driver Murat Gürakan second. İbrahim Özbıyık finished third in the first race, while Recep Çelikkanat took third on the podium in the second. The races were followed with great interest and excitement by a large crowd, and the teams' title went to Texaco Team AMS.

The circuit racing season will continue with round three, which will again be held at TOSFED Istanbul Park on 15-16 August.
